I work exclusively with growing food producing businesses, helping them master their finances and achieve success.
Being a Management Accountant means that I have a broad awareness of business management issues – not just accountancy, but IT, HR, business strategy and systems. So my view of a business’ accounts reflects the needs of the whole business.
I work with businesses to find the right information that will enable the owners to make decisions to steer their business in the right direction for them.
There is no one right direction; it will vary from one business to another, so I work closely with the management team to understand where they want to go and what information they need to make the right decisions to get them there.
I set up my own business in 2011 in a quest to find work that fitted around my family here in North Devon.
I didn’t know it at the time, but setting out on my own was a stroke of genius. I am a bit of a geek when it comes to businesses – I love to learn what they do, how they do it and what it is that makes them special.
This blog is my reflections on how I am managing my own business within the constraints that I have as well as my observations about some of the work I do. Have a browse through my posts and post a comment if you’ve got opinions on what you find.
I offer a free first meeting and consultation so if there’s something I can help you with, or even if you’re not sure and would like to talk about it then get in touch:
